Oh, Daniel Johnston, rawest of the real. Heart of heaven enduring hell. Surrender and expression softly melds the ups and downs, carrying us in a vessel along the running water.

Hi, How Are You, conjures for me the Six of Swords. With each of the swords in the boat that shows a driver, a mother and child pushing out of turbulence into calm waters. The sky is grey and where they head is no brighter, though calmer. The swords, thoughts and mental aspects, and words cannot be taken back, they come with them. There is strength in the card and hardship. There is support and kindness, which I believe is what Daniel Johnston was offering with all his heart.

The turbulent waters as the ocean of miseries, of birth and death, and Krsna the charioteer, Hrsikesa. In a moment of even unconscious surrender, his effulgent light may lift you from the material waters of desire and suffering which are never calmed.
